Peri-Guard® Repair-Patch

The acellular and molecular stabilized matrix of Peri-Guard® patches provides a unique and proven combination of value properties:

• Low elasticity: In contrast are different to the related Vascu-Guard® and Supple Peri-Guard® patches, Peri-Guard® patches are only slightly elastic and thus ideal for application to large surface areas.
   
• Permanent thanks to molecular stability: Cross-linking arises from the anchorage of the material, which caters for the permanent stability. Peri-Guard® patches have been implanted worldwide without any reported ruptures for more than three decades.
   
• Integration: The acellular matrix structure provides the ideal preconditions for the long-term integration of the patches.
   
• Microbiological safety: The APEX® method used in the manufacturing process caters for full microbiological safety. 
   
• No tearing of sutures: The affixed collagen material is similar in handling to the body’s own material, but it is much more stable and has the highest degree of suture resistance.
   
• Can be used with antibiotics: Unlike other biological materials, Peri-Guard® can also be used at the same time as certain antibiotics*
