Description
Peri-Strips Dry® Veritas® comprise dehydrated, acellular strips of a special collagen matrix. They serve to support and seal staple reinforcement in the event of resections on stomach or intestines.
Distinctive properties
After placing along/under the staple line, the acellular collagen matrix provides the unique possibility of cell settlement. Step by step, new tissue is grown on the matrix structures, which permanently secures the staple line.
This results in the following unique properties:
- Haemostasis along the staple line
- No incision channel bleeding thanks to the collagen matrix
- No tears thanks to extremely tear-resistant material
- Staple line reinforcement remodels in conjunction with the body’s natural healing process
Areas of application
Peri–Strips Dry® Veritas® serve the purpose of securing rows of clip sutures. At the same time, they have a haemostatic effect and incision channel bleeding, whereby Peri–Strips Dry® Veritas® are used in particular for gastric sleeve surgery or stomach bypasses..
Peri–Strips Dry® Veritas® are available for all common types of staplers as well as endoscopic and open staplers.
