Description
SWING-CONTACT® meshes are innovative, self-adhesive, non-absorbable meshes made from knitted multifilament polyester. The mesh sticks to tissue with the help of its unique atraumatic burled structure on the back and front.
Distinctive properties
Thanks to the intra-abdominal pressure applied during laparoscopic or endoscopic treatment of an inguinal hernia, a slipping of the mesh is prevented. During open hernia treatment, the pressure of the fascia caters for the fixation. The mesh can be simply repositioned intraoperatively without causing lesions to tissue.
The patented three-dimensional honeycomb design promoted as fast ingrowth of cells and forms a large number of fine capsules around the mesh structure. The three-dimensional character of the mesh with its multidirectional properties adapts excellently to the anatomical conditions.
The extraordinary softness, especially at the edges of the mesh, prevents irritations to nerves and tissue. Each mesh fibre is impregnated with PEU to increase the memory effect.
The meshes are non-absorbable.
